ABOUT US
We believe that S2A4 Ministries is called to unite and equip the greater Church body. We are a movement rooted in 1 Corinthians 12.
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many… Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.” 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 27-31
The early Church was not a building or single congregation of people. The Church consisted of all followers of Christ. It was not segregated with different denominations and sects. The book of Acts describes the disciples as being united and in “one accord”. We believe that we are being specifically called by God to restore unity within His body.
As we are taught in 1 Corinthians 12:28-31, the members of the church body are to earnestly desire “the higher gifts” or gifts of the Spirit. These gifts – faith, apostleship, prophecy, teaching, healing, etc. – are freely given (1 Corinthians 2:12) but they are also to be desired and pursued. However, in the modern church, there are many challenges surrounding this. We tend to battle ignorance, unbelief, skepticism, misuse, etc. This is where we believe that we have a calling to equip the church body in these gifs – how to pursue them and how to properly steward them. Love always has to be at the core of each one of these gifts as love is at the core of our ministry and everything we do.
